Medical History

Victoria is diagnosed with supratentorial primitive neuroectodermal tumor, stPNET.

The girl has been sick since January 2006.  She was operated twice (April 2006 and December 2006), and had a cystoperitoneostomy (February 2007), underwent numerous courses of chemotherapy, and radiotherapy (February-March 2007).

Despite all the efforts of doctors here, the tumor continued to grow. MRI exam as of July 16th 2007 showed continued tumor growth with mts dissemination.

The patient received  4 blocks of the SECOND LINE chemo therapy: VP-16 + Carbo 96h-infusion of (protocol Met-HIT 2000) in Moscow under supervision of Prof. O. Zheludkova. (July 18-21, August 13-17, September 5-9, Sept 28- Oct 01.)

It is important to notice that  MRI as of August 27, 2007 showed tumor response, i.e. reduction of tumor, as a result of 2 blocks.

Further treatment which will include high dose chemotherapy with bone marrow transplantations is possible only in a foreign clinic. Medical center Hadassah in Israel has accepted Victoria for this treatment since the end of October 2007.
